AND ROCKETRY

AGES 5 -12 SUMMER

Challenger SPACE AND ROCKETRY combines sports, space science, and computer technology into a day camp program focusing on developing team building skills. This program is especially designed to demonstrate the role that a cooperative team effort plays in scientific endeavors, in everyday life, and on the sports field. Build and launch a model rocket this summer. Since we introduce a new Space Science activity each week, you may register for as many weeks as you may wish.

CHALLENGER JR.

AGES 3 - 5 SUMMER

Challenger Jr. combines the age appropriate activities of Camp Challenger with the non-competitive Sports/Fitness activities of Wee Wanna Be™. The Jr. Camp program is organized to provide "Learning Stations" featuring the fun-in-learning, hands-on activities based on the Space theme. You may register for as many weeks as you may wish.

KIDS, KEYS 'N SPORTS (For Rockville Great Writers and Players Camp)

AGES 8 - 12 SUMMER

Wow! A summer program that provides exercise for your child's body as well as his/her mind! It's two important lifetime skills combined into one fantastic location! Practice computer keyboarding and touch type skills, then take a break and practice sports skills. The keyboarding program is self paced, entertaining and designed to helps kids learn and improve their skills. Sports vary daily and weekly and may include instruction in soccer, hockey, basketball, lacrosse and more! All play, both keyboarding and sports, occurs in a non-competitive environment stressing teamwork, skill enhancement and cooperation strategies. It's a win-win situation for everyone! No previous experience required in this self-paced program. You may register for as many weeks as you may wish.

COACH DOUG SUMMER SPORTS CAMP

AGES 4 - 8 SUMMER

Enjoy the Summer with your friends at Coach Doug Summer Sports Camp. Come 1 week or all summer, half day or full day. The camp will provide time to enjoy sports, games, arts & crafts and other activities plus time to chat and visit with your friends. The program will feature organized learning activities with computers as well as special events. In addition, there will be sports games and non-competitive activities designed for everyone's enjoyment.

ENDLESS SUMMER CLUB HOLIDAY CAMP

AGES 3 - 12

Last three weeks of August 9:30 AM - 3:30 PM Clara Barton Community Center, Bauer Drive Community Center and Potomac Community Center — Your Camp Director will provide time to enjoy age appropriate sports, games, arts & crafts and more plus time to chat and visit with your friends. The 'Endless Summer' will feature organized activities as well as special events. Participants choose the activities they want to participate in based on their own needs. Sports include soccer, basketball, hockey and others. In addition, we'll have games as well as non-competitive activities designed for everyone's enjoyment.

Bring a bag lunch. Price includes all materials.

Note: Little Campers ages 3-5 will rotate through age appropriate activities and may only register for the half-day session 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM! Price is per child. Extended Care available.

Coach Doug Space Adventure Kids At Bullis School

Coach Doug Space Adventure Camp is a fun, nurturing adventure for your three or four year old who is eager to go to camp this summer. Your child will be well supervised with our one to five counselor/camper ratio. This program blends age-appropriate activities of space science, astronomy and rocketry with the noncompetitive sports/fitness activities of Coach Doug Sports. The camp features fun-in-learning, hands-on activities based on space exploration related themes including the planets and space travel. The children will work together to build and decorate a simple rocket, watch the launch from a safe distance and experience what it's like to eat in space. They'll also get plenty of inside and outside play that will include kickball, lacrosse, soccer, touch football, field hockey and more –all with child-sized equipment. There will be a mid-morning and mid-afternoon snack provided and the option of a morning or full day program. Coach Doug explains. "We work the minds as well as their bodies – and they have a BLAST!"
